SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE 2- WEEK-3

  DAY 11(25/11/24,MONDAY)

Today, as usual, we reached school at 9:30 a.m. and signed the attendance sheet in the headmaster's office. I received a substitution period in 6th grade, where I decided to introduce some basic mathematical concepts, laying a foundation for my scheduled lesson with 8th grade. The session was both productive and engaging, as I incorporated visual aids and real-world applications to help students connect theory to practical use. Despite some challenges in time management, the session was successful, with students showing curiosity and enthusiasm throughout. Their active participation reinforced the importance of making lessons interactive and relatable. Overall, it was a fulfilling day with eager learners who made the teaching experience enjoyable.

DAY 12(26/11/24,TUESDAY)

Today, we reached school at 9:30 a.m. and continued with our scheduled lessons. I began the session by assessing students' prior knowledge through a question-and-answer session, asking them to recall the Identity. This interactive approach helped set the foundation for the day's lesson. I successfully completed my 12th lesson plan, ensuring that students grasped the concepts effectively. The lesson was highly engaging, especially with the integration of PPT-based learning and practical applications, which enhanced students’ understanding. Some challenges arose with decimals, but my step-by-step guidance helped students quantify the problems with clarity. Moving forward, I plan to focus on better pacing to ensure smoother transitions between concepts. Overall, it was an interactive and effective session, with students demonstrating strong engagement and curiosity. The day

DAY 13(27/11/24,WEDNESDAY)

Today, I focused on reinforcing students' understanding of solving problems using identities and successfully completed my 13th lesson plan. The session was structured to ensure clarity and confidence in applying mathematical identities to problem-solving. Beyond academics, I had another important task for the day—conducting a yoga session for the students. Guiding them through various asanas, I emphasized the importance of relaxation, focus, and well-being. The students participated enthusiastically, making the session both engaging and beneficial. Additionally, we actively participated in mid-day meal service and engaged in various school activities, contributing to the school community and enhancing our overall experience as educators. The day concluded with the National Anthem, and we left the school at 3:30 p.m. It was a fulfilling day, balancing academic learning, physical well-being, and community involvement.

 DAY 14(28/11/24,THURSDAY)

Today, we arrived at school at 9:30 a.m. and began with the school assembly, where the headmistress awarded certificates to students who excelled in the State School Colloquium—a proud and inspiring moment for the school community. During my scheduled class with 8C, I continued exploring algebraic identities through interactive activities. Using a calendar-based pattern approach, students independently discovered and applied identities. As part of my PowerPoint presentation, I introduced problems involving four numbers forming a square on a calendar, encouraging students to recognize patterns and derive identities on their own. The lesson was structured with minimal teacher intervention, promoting student-centered learning. Students actively participated, confidently identifying and applying algebraic identities, which made the session highly effective. By the end of the class, I had successfully completed 14 lessons in this chapter, leaving with a strong sense of accomplishment. Overall, today was highly productive and fulfilling, combining conceptual learning, real-world applications, and student-driven discovery to create a meaningful classroom experience.

DAY 15(29/11/24,FRIDAY)

Today, as usual, we arrived at school at 9:30 a.m. and began the day by evaluating students for their NAS exams, ensuring a fair and thorough assessment of their understanding. During my scheduled class with 8C, I conducted the final section of algebraic identities, integrating interactive problem-solving activities that connected real-world patterns with current and past mathematical concepts. This approach encouraged students to think critically and apply their knowledge independently. The last section of IITs was highly successful, as students showcased their understanding, problem-solving skills, and application of concepts. The session was interactive and thought-provoking, with students actively engaging, questioning, and collaborating to solidify their learning. The reflective approach made the lesson meaningful and impactful, ensuring a strong conclusion to the chapter. This day marked the end of the 15-day second phase of my teaching practice, and I concluded it with a deep sense of fulfillment. The active participation and curiosity of the students were truly rewarding. As I look forward to the next phase starting on January 1st, I carry with me valuable insights, experiences, and a renewed enthusiasm for the journey ahead.
