SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE 2- WEEK-1
DAY 01(11/11/24,MONDAY)
Since our teaching practice continues in the same school without a break, we arrived at GGHS Mavelikara at 9:30 AM as usual. Upon arrival, we submitted the letter and attendance sheet to the Headmistress, Anitha Teacher. After signing the attendance sheet, we returned to the same room assigned to us during Phase 1. My mentor, Santhosh Sir, assigned me a new chapter, Identities, for my upcoming practice sessions. I had a scheduled class during the 6th period with 8C, the same class I taught during Phase 1, where I began introducing the chapter on Identities. As mid-term exams were scheduled for the students, we assisted in arranging the classrooms and allocating students to their respective rooms at 2:00 PM. After the exams concluded, we left the school at 3:45 PM.
DAY 02(12/11/24,TUESDAY)
I reached the school on time and began my day by signing the attendance sheet. After settling in, I prepared for my scheduled class with 8C during the 3rd period. The session went smoothly, and I successfully completed teaching one lesson plan, ensuring the students understood the concepts effectively. Their active participation and engagement made the class enjoyable and productive. During the lunch break, I had the opportunity to contribute to the school’s mid-day meal program. I joined the team in serving meals to the students, which provided a chance to interact with them outside the classroom. This experience allowed me to connect with the students on a more personal level while supporting the school community. The day was a good blend of teaching and participating in extracurricular responsibilities. Balancing these tasks gave me a deeper appreciation for the holistic role of a teacher in a school environment. Overall, it was a rewarding day, filled with meaningful interactions and contributions, both inside and outside the classroom.
DAY 03(13/11/24,WEDNESDAY)
As usual, I arrived at school on time and signed the attendance sheet to start my day. I had a scheduled class during the 6th period, where I engaged actively with the students and continued teaching the planned lessons effectively. During the lunch break, I participated in serving the mid-day meal to the students, which was a meaningful opportunity to connect with them beyond the classroom environment. The experience was fulfilling, as it allowed me to contribute to the school community in a different way. After the day's activities, we concluded with the National Anthem, and everyone dispersed for the day.
DAY 04(14/11/24,THURSDAY)
As usual, I arrived at school on time and signed the attendance sheet to begin my day. The day started with a school assembly, where students and teachers gathered for the morning prayer and important announcements. The assembly set a positive tone for the day and reinforced a sense of community within the school. Later, I had a scheduled class during the 6th period, where I engaged actively with the students and successfully completed the planned lessons. During the lunch break, I participated in serving the mid-day meal to the students, which was a fulfilling experience and an opportunity to connect with them beyond the classroom. The day concluded with the National Anthem, and we dispersed with a sense of accomplishment.
DAY 05(15/11/24,FRIDAY)
As usual, I arrived at school on time, signed the attendance sheet, and prepared for the day ahead. The morning began smoothly, and I stayed engaged in completing tasks and preparing for my class. Their enthusiasm and willingness to learn added to the positive experience of teaching.
