SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE 1- WEEK-7

     DAY 22

14/10/2024-MONDAY

After the school reopened following the Pooja holidays and the weekend, I reached the school at 9:15 AM and signed the attendance sheet in the HM's office. The atmosphere was lively, with students and teachers getting back into the routine after the break.  During the day, I had three classes: one scheduled as per my timetable and two substitution classes. One of the substitution classes was with the 7th-grade students, and the other was with the 8th-grade students, where I was able to continue with the lesson I had planned. This allowed me to complete 23 lessons in total, which is progressing well towards my goals. The students were very engaged and participated actively during the lessons. It was encouraging to see them retain the concepts we had covered before the holidays and eager to continue learning. Overall, it was a productive day, and I felt a sense of satisfaction from the enthusiasm and engagement of the students.

     DAY 23

15/10/2024-TUESDAY

Today was an eventful day at school as I was involved in monitoring the SAT exam. I reached the school early, signed in, and prepared for the day's duties. During the exam, I carefully supervised the students, ensuring a smooth and organized process. It was a good experience, allowing me to observe how students approached their test papers and managed their time. Additionally, my option teacher, Miss Aishwarya, visited for a Math second and last observation session. She attentively observed my teaching methods and provided constructive feedback. I was pleased to hear her positive comments about my lesson delivery, classroom management, and engagement with the students. Her encouraging feedback has motivated me even more to continue improving my teaching skills and make each class more effective for the students.  Overall, it was a productive day filled with new learning experiences and valuable guidance from my mentor.

  DAY 24

16/10/2024-WEDNESDAY

Today at school was a day filled with observations and learning. I started the day as usual and later got a substitution class in 8C, where I engaged the students with a few activities related to the lesson. The class was interactive, and the students participated actively. During the day, Sony Miss came for the Physical Science optional observation, Later, Velayuthan Sir visited for the English optional observation.

Both teachers provided constructive and supportive feedback, which I found extremely helpful. These observations have motivated me to refine my teaching strategies further and work on the areas suggested. It was a day of growth, and I felt encouraged by the guidance from both mentors.

 DAY 25

17/10/2024-THURSDAY

Today, I reached school at the usual time and was excited to be a part of the sub-district level Junior Red Cross quiz competition, which was hosted at our school. Around 20 schools participated, creating a lively and competitive atmosphere. I had the opportunity to assist with the registration process and also helped monitor the quiz competition. It was thrilling to see the teams compete so closely, and I was proud when our school secured the first prize after a tough competition. Apart from helping with the quiz, I also had my scheduled class, where I continued with the lesson as planned. Additionally, I got an extra class, which allowed me to complete the construction of parallelograms. The students were engaged and actively participated, making it easier to finish the topic.  Overall, it was a productive and fulfilling day, balancing both my teaching duties and the experience of supporting an exciting school event.

  DAY 26

18/10/2024-FRIDAY

Today was a unique day as we had a program at our college, for which we received permission to attend for half a day. The NSS conducted a free medical camp, and since we are all NSS volunteers, our participation was required. It was a meaningful experience, contributing to the community and supporting the initiative. After the program and lunch, we returned to school, where I had my scheduled 5th period as per the timetable. Additionally, I received one more period in 8C, which allowed me to complete 30 lessons in total. The students were engaged, and the class went smoothly. After the day's activities, we concluded with the national anthem, and then we headed back home. Overall, it was a fulfilling day, balancing our responsibilities both at the college event and at school.
