CONCENTIZATION PROGRAMME

The Conscientization Program is a process of raising awareness and empowering individuals or groups to identify and challenge social injustice. It promotes critical thinking, agency, and collective action to drive positive change. This transformative process fosters critical awareness, introspection, and self-determination, encouraging individuals to confront oppressive structures and narratives while recognizing their role in advancing social change. As part of our B.Ed. curriculum, we were required to organize a Conscientization Program during the first phase of our teaching practice at Government Girls' High School, Mavelikara. On October 24, 2024, we conducted a session titled "Awareness on Plastic and Its Environmental Impact." The program aimed to educate and empower participants about the harmful effects of plastic pollution on the environment. The session focused on increasing awareness of critical issues such as microplastics, single-use plastics, and effective plastic waste management. Through discussions and interactive activities, participants gained a deeper understanding of the gravity of plastic pollution and were inspired to take sustainable actions towards environmental conservation.
